One night, my senior project [see The Cycle] became inste&d, an organization whose mission was to encourage productive behavior (i.e. "I vacuumed all the rugs instead of writing my thesis"). We do all of these things instead of what we're supposed to be doing because these accomplishments assure us that we are getting something done. Rather than feel guilty (as society expects), we should embrace and encourage our productivity.
